POLITICAL ASSIST
Preamble:
I thought this digital periodical should be the opposite of the ‘political theater’ version gracing my website. The focus here will be what America can accomplish with a political system pushing her to do better on behalf of all her citizens. In that spirit I will make this version an upbeat idea filled publication for the ages…

Issue 10: Reborn from Self-Denial
I wrote a while back of my time at LT. For my readers that know me they will smile about what those initials mean. Working for the first time in Behavioral and Mental Health I imagined the usual 40% of the work just like any other job, but the 60% of the reality of the work hooked me. Let me tell you why. All the spiritual teachings I acquired through study and by spiritual gatherings; I found out that I already had the tools I needed to excel in the mental disciplines.
The ‘tools’ were being a directed parent. Caring about the hopes, dreams and misdirected energies of children and adults. Being firm in correcting disruptive foolishness. Finally by exercising respect for others I was able to help patients without feeling sorry for them which pity is not what they needed. What I didn’t expect is what I received in return. I found a place, as close to the United States Army as possible, where I belonged.
I didn’t think I could find a place where I could count on people like I was counted on by others in the military.
Anyway, I’ll write another post about mental and behavioral health experiences another time. I want to talk about a heavy pressing ‘foreboding’ running fast upon to overtake my brothers and sisters in the United States military. I have revealed already the look I saw on the face of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Donald J. Trump is like a similar President in American History. That President is none other than Woodrow Wilson.
President Woodrow Wilson occupied Haiti and the Dominican Republic. President Wilson went to Congress on April 2, 1917 for a declaration to join World War I. President Wilson lobbied hard for the Treaty of Versailes and that treaty is well known to have stoked the vicious tendencies of Germans to attack immigrants in the country. Also, not to sharpen the mistakes of the man, but President Wilson reluctantly in his second term belatedly condemned lynching.
I say this. In times of upheaval and human suffering, those we pick to lead us must ‘meet the moment’. It means this. If a person is shooting a weapon into a crowd we can’t realize at that moment that the wrong ‘man’ or ‘woman’ was chosen to stop the slaughter because people are still being killed.
We must chose the person of high moral character and honor of whom we are certain will ‘meet the moment’ to act in defense of life and humanity! Leadership is not an oratory test.
Leadership is a display of conviction to do what’s right when the ‘moment’ arrives!
Self-Denial can only be initiated by the person aware of their flaws. Then can that ‘poison’ be expelled from the ‘body’ whole to usher in ‘righteous’ thinking for personal benefit and the benefit of society.
Be well and know this. Action speaks louder than words!
