First things first is we must wrestle this false superiority of knowing what is mental health away from the general conversation about it. Eight years of Mental and Behavioral Healthcare experience has allowed me to uncover many expert opinions about it, and all such opinions deriving from seemingly enlightened patients. Granted some self-care explanations were on track, but being close to the answers cannot be the standard.
Therefore the philosophical nature of mass expertise is counterproductive and harmful to societies understandings about mental health in general. What then can psychological professionals do to dampen such a kaleidoscope of untrained sufferers diagnosing complicated mental disorders? My suggestion would be to produce a weekly periodical. A digital application on a smart phone with current news in the field. Produced along with a bevy of relatable leaders in the field cast on a short 30 minute weekly video. These non-stoic professionals will raise mental healthcare to the same respectable level as physical healthcare.
Many changes have led mental health to being reconsidered as a crucial opposite to the same coin of physical healthcare. More promotion is required if mental health is to achieve the position of equality it deserves for the benefit of humanity.
Issue 26: ‘Before the Cock Crow’ means ‘Core Beliefs Count Only After A Trial of Fire!’
Two things I will cover in this digital post of Mental Health Equal Health. The ‘Errors of Future Tense’ and what the ‘Cock Crowing Means’ to you.
Let’s talk about ‘Future Tense’ first. Funny isn’t it? From the Authorized King James version of the Holy Bible…Matthew 6:34…Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
What? I can’t concern my thoughts and brood about Wednesday when it is Tuesday the day before? Relax for me. It’s not as bad as you think. In fact it is crucial to your mental health. I know it. How? I’ve begun to discipline my thoughts to remain focused on the 2 realities that I have the control. The reality of the ‘Past’. The reality of the ‘Present’. The ‘FUTURE’ is the sole realm of the ‘First Father’.
Look this I say, up yourself, concerning ‘a thousand years is one day with the Lord’.
Honestly, I’ve had intermittent success with developing my television series and my movie writings. What’s the problem you say? The problem is that I fell into another trap America has laid out for her people. I always believed I could put it off till tomorrow and still would be ready when the day arrived to get it done. Guess what? Sometimes I did write. The majority of the time I did not.
That’s not happening anymore! Why not? Because my desperate search for wisdom and knowledge has brought me the answers I needed! When you get the answer in the Black Community. You get your ass to work! I’ve had little adherence to that stern fact honestly. Not anymore. They are being imprinted on my mind forcefully as we speak. Last night at work I wondered off into ‘future’ shit. Guess what? I brought my mind back to the ‘present’ at work. Yes sir. This shit is liberating!
‘Stay in your lane’. Remember that admonition my United States Army family?
The error of turning my ‘thoughts’ towards the ‘morrow’ are over. But what about ‘Vision’? I will cover ‘vision’ again. Of course, I cannot discredit vision. But ‘vision’ is created in the ‘present’ if I’m not mistaken. You want to pay off a bill. You start saving today. You want to earn a degree in Philosophy. You sign up for a full semester. You want your children to have good training. You model it for them.
You don’t know what’s going to happen. Nobody does. I remember training my soldiers and standing back watching them either implement what they learned, or not. It’s tough I know to restrain yourself from doing it for them because you want them to succeed. But, as I’ve said in previous posts on my website. ‘Independence and Interference’. Know when to let them take flight or fall down to Earth. Hard even. Until they know how to use the ‘wind’ (metaphorically things you taught them and what they already knew) to help them soar.
To conclude ‘future tense’. Democrats, Independents and Republicans of righteous hearts. Stop falling for the ‘okey doke’. November 3rd, 2026 Election Day will take care of itself. The present and the past are the only things that matter. You can make whatever come of your decency and order if you just do the work ‘right now’. Cause ‘right now’ is all that matters!
I hope I have shown my work philosophy even thought ‘cleaning’ it up, for brevity, comes after the fact. As for all of you that felt the November 2024 election didn’t yield a just result. I kept my head about me and did the work. The ‘work’ is all that matters. Do it ‘right now’!
Now to the ‘Cock Crow’.
It was a simple realization for Peter. Everything was good when the leader, Jesus Christ, took all the incoming. What he, Peter, was shown is of a truth. You can ‘direct’ everybody’s attention to the words of the leader, but ‘YOU’ are the one who will be asked for ‘proof’.
Ah, he didn’t, Peter that is, actually believe what Jesus Christ taught him did he? Look how quick he ‘shed’ Jesus when he was confronted with his ‘association’. Read it in 1 Peter 4. It speaks of the ‘fiery’ trial and being ‘reproached’. You do know that the ancient meaning of ‘REPROACH’ was? To get those folks to ‘deny’ themselves who claimed allegiance or fidelity (simper fidelis) to a cause, doctrine, belief or whatever. So-called ‘good or religious’ people were attacked relentlessly! What? ‘Check yo-self before you wreck yo-self’! Black people remember that right?
What Republican can you point to that never faltered in calling out the ‘evils’ of Donald J. Trump? Anybody? Name one? Right. None!
All this talk of getting Americans to believe that Donald J. Trump would somehow ‘change’ or ‘mellow’ out at some ‘future’ date and come ‘correct’(as we say in the Black Community) was and is foolishness. Donald J. Trump is who he is. I guess pulling the cone of ‘White’ cloth off his head would cause Republicans too much mental ‘stress’. Oh well. They embraced him. Let them fall as a ‘ton’ of angels(so-called) fell with Satan from Heaven.
Yeah. The Republican Party has always been a ‘House of Illusion’.
I will say this in closing. All the United States Attorneys leaving the United States Justice Department must have finally come to the ‘truth’. There isn’t a future that says the U.S. Justice Department will return to an integrity based institution once Donald J. Trump leaves office. That ‘green bay tree’ . Trust me. Donald J. Trump? He will be denied like the plague when he is gone.
I can’t tell you the opportunities. The promotions. The jobs I’ve walked away from to keep silent that ‘Cocks’ crow. I don’t need a fucking thing from a White Supremacist. Period!
Finally. There are Christians, atheists, independents and plain ole good people that would never cast their ‘pearls’(integrity) before ‘swine’(contemptible people) to be trampled under feet.
They didn’t want that ‘Cock’ to crow at them either.
