Season One
Episode 3: Thou has brought a vine, Sarah, out of ‘THE ARC’ and has planted her.
Part Three: Thou preparedst room before her, and didst cause her to take deep root. She hath filled the land.
Prologue:
(Ask the First Father to keep the heathen, the unenlightened person, out of the way of Sarah so that she may grow and continue to fill the land with her drive, will to develop others, and her ambition to make her presence known upon those that need to know that light cannot and will not be stamped out in the world! I myself, Mother Sayer, know there is none that can defeat Sarah. She has that barely containable dominant spiritual energy that even the Gods tread carefully around.
Sarah. Mother Sayer has taken a long step back from Sarah to allow her ‘vine’ to continue to take even deeper root in the ground. What is a ‘vine’ exactly Mother Sayer mumbles to herself? Now that the question is asked. Mother Sayer will wonder why did she have to ask for or ‘dissemble’ a structural form ‘of such’ to which she already ‘assembled’ long ago during her military career.
These teachings, all of them, came from the basic need to sustain human and other forms of life. ‘To plant’ means to understand the environment where that ‘plant’ needs to achieve ‘growth’. The ‘climate’ must be strongly considered for life giving ‘nutrients’ to get to the ‘vines’. So, to condense my rewind of military doctrine. Mother Sayer pinches herself, only slightly, to reassure her retention of her training is soundly within all she is and does.
‘Vines’ don’t grow in a ‘command climate’ that is unsupportive or allowed to roam beyond the land that it is cleared to cover. ‘Vines’ are trimmed as needed while readied to ‘branch’ out when the ‘vine’ itself is ready to clear more ‘room’ to grow on its own.
Mother Sayer is overjoyed that Sarah is a good daughter. Sometimes she wishes she actually came from her flesh. Mother Sayer reminds herself though that that is that ‘crazy talk’ to take from a sister her daughter. Oh, but she can’t help the giddy and rambunctious energies that always arise in her when she is around Sarah. Mother Sayer thanks the First Father for training her in the way Mother Sayer should go because Mother Sayer loves her children. No matter how they came to her.

(Everybody is back at the office. Mother Sayer, Sarah and Uoherbhai meet in Mother Sayer’s office to discuss what’s on tap for the day. Mother Sayer as usual gets to the point quickly.).
Mother Sayer: Sarah. How did everything go in New York? Did you manage to get your first protégé signed on?
Sarah W. Certainty: Goodness. Did I say that right? (Sarah’s looking for a response from Mother Sayer that doesn’t come. So she moves on.). Well. I believe Hedgy Fletts will call. Soon I hope, but there is someone else I believe we’ll hear from sooner.
Mother Sayer: Who would that be?
Sarah W. Certainty: There was this young lady at the college. Pratt Institute. Her name is Janea. She more or less took point and set up a met with our target. She got us all her contact information and we did get to chat a little with Hedgy. Although it was at a rave party, or whatever they’re called these days.
Mother Sayer: (Mother is increasingly pleased with Sarah. Sarah’s vine has gone down deep into the ground she says to herself. This though is a tricky moment Sarah is now squarely into. Cultivating a person always is. Let’s get on with it. Say the words Mother.). Ah, Sarah. This is the tricky part. You have to let her call you.
Sarah W. Certainty: What? I can’t wait on somebody to call me back. That’s not what I heard. My friends or whatever, says you got to be aggressive. Go after the people you want right? Be a killer.
Mother Sayer: I’m not even going to ask where they heard that dumb shit to pass that dumb shit on to you. Sarah. Most farmers, or every farmer, knows that they won’t see anything come out of the ground for a long time after the seeds are planted. Ask yourself? Does a farmer go and dig up his seeds to verify they are ‘germinating’?
Sarah W. Certainty: No. I suppose not. What’s this you’re talking about again? More parables?
Mother Sayer: Bear with me on this. And I’m not Jesus or an Apostle. I speak plainly. Just listen. Please sit down. Here. I’ll get us a coffee order from Starbucks on the corner. U-her. Would you be so kind?
Uoherbhai: Sure Mother Sayer. I got you.
Mother Sayer: Okay now. Let us both remember there was a period of dormancy in our relationship wasn’t it? You remember? You didn’t know me and I didn’t know you right? We both had to ‘feel each other out’ to know how we should talk to each other.
Sarah W. Certainty: I remember.
Mother Sayer: (Mother Sayer feels that Sarah reverts back to a subservient posture and she quickly snaps her out of it.). Do you remember how I didn’t start off with a ‘do what I say attitude towards you did I’?
Sarah W. Certainty: No you didn’t. You welcomed me like a little sister under your wing.
Mother Sayer: That’s right. I did. I wanted you to know that your Mother, Sparklett Stone, already raised you. There are many more stages to life than childhood. I never liked it when someone thought they needed to teach me how to be a child. Already got that instruction I would strongly tell them.
Sarah W. Certainty: I love you Big Sister. Please go on. (At this time U-her comes back with the coffee. Obviously she called ahead and swooped in and out. U-her stays to listen.).
Mother Sayer: That’s the ‘room’ part of something I learned about helping your people be successful. I remember there were times I literally had to grab my arms to stop myself from doing the things for my children I saw them struggling to do. Man. How destructive to their growth that would’ve been!
Sarah W. Certainty: I have to let Hedgy come to her own conclusion by her own reasonings about the opportunity I have presented to her.
Mother Sayer: And you know what Sarah. That’s a celebratory thing! Then, my children started doing more and more for themselves. Going in the kitchen getting something to eat. Cleaning up after themselves (Mother Sayer swipes her raised arm down from above her head to her index finger pointing a requirement), and explaining their reasons for doing something when they are caught in a wrong.
Sarah W. Certainty: I remember that a lot with my Mother. Mrs. Stone would be precise in her admonishments (Now Sarah remembers her Mother’s disdain for waterworks). My Mother would tell me what a woman would do. My Mother would remind me that I am not just the other half. I wasn’t created as an afterthought. ‘A woman was created to bring order to chaos while doing it elegantly’.
Mother Sayer: (Mother chuckles as Sarah just gave her something to use in conversations with her friends). I’m letting you know now I’m stealing that from your Mother. Maintain your ‘elegance’ when you bring order to the foolishness of men. I like that.
Sarah W. Certainty: I love that woman with all my heart.
Mother Sayer: That’s right. Women that embrace their role always seem to perform better at the ‘fulcrum’ of crucial events. Like the rearing of children. That goes for people, ‘vines’, you are planting and must give them ‘room’ to ‘grow’ so you can ‘cultivate’ them to what ‘right’ looks like.
Sarah W. Certainty: Everything originates in military lore huh?
Mother Sayer: No. Everything originates with the ‘sustainment’ of life. Who better to know about sustaining life than farmers and shepherds? Business practices are a dime a dozen. All the shit you heard. I heard it too. You know. I flush ‘shit’ down toilets right?
Sarah W. Certainty: Ew!
Mother Sayer: Exactly. Now. Who is Janea and what about her taking point?
Sarah W. Certainty: Janea was fantastic. I remembered what you taught me and I let her lead the way.
Mother Sayer: I’m listening.
Sarah W. Certainty: At the college, she caught me before I insisted on seeing Hedgy. I was about to be pushy and make demands, but Janea sensed that’s what I was about to do and she quickly advised me it wouldn’t work.
Mother Sayer: Uh-huh.
Sarah W. Certainty: I had a feeling about power. I know you told me to watch your emotions. Power has no desires and it cannot discern a matter wisely. I do. God. What am I saying? That was the first time I felt your teachings, and I felt the negative wash of ‘trying to force people to do my bidding also’.
Mother Sayer: You stopped yourself right?
Sarah W. Certainty: Yes. Yes I did. I do not know how I did it.
Mother Sayer: I’ll handle that part for you in a minute. Go on. I want to hear how you resolved your first day of being in charge.
Sarah W. Certainty: I gave Janea my Hotel information. We met at the hotel. Janea helped me dress for the occasion. (Mother Sayer raises an eyebrow). We went to the location where Hedgy was said to be later on that evening. Hedgy was there. Janea introduced us. We exchanged information while I just told Hedgy briefly she could call me and we could meet to discuss what I had to offer her.
Mother Sayer: Good. That sounds good. I’ll tell you first how you stopped yourself when you thought you were in charge of anybody you meet because you possess the ‘money’. What came over you is you realized that ‘money’ creates nothing. People create shit. You are negotiating, bartering, exchanging money for the right to onboard the talent that the person possesses to help you in your business venture.
Sarah W. Certainty: I understand you now. Oh my God I’m glad I kept my mouth shut.
Mother Sayer: That’s another thing that is hugely now in your favor. Do you know that organ in your face has killed a lot of great endeavors that could have made the world a better place for all of us? Yeah. It’s that serious to keep your mouth shut! Nobody has to work for you. Nobody! Nobody has to work with you so the both of you could possibly do something special together. Nobody!
Sarah W. Certainty: I see why a lot of people with great ideas never get anywhere. They didn’t start with themselves first. Controlling that ‘arrogance of intelligence’ sloshing around in their mind making them believe they control every interaction with people.
Mother Sayer: You are farther along in your understanding of things than I was at your age. Now I’m more motivated to help you sister. Good. I’m going to let you in on something. Janea will call you before Hedgy does. Janea might even show up here ready to work.
Sarah W. Certainty: You’re crazy. How do you know that?
Mother Sayer: I know what’s inside her. It’s the same thing inside you and me. She has the ‘energy’. She wants to connect with someone, something, doing something right that matters. So, I suggest you get with Ms. Blinner and set her up in one of our apartments. You remember right? The buildings I told you about when you first started at the ARC?
Sarah W. Certainty: Buildings? Oh, the buildings. I got it. Ms. Blinner worked on acquiring real estate for you that cost a little under $2 million right?
Mother Sayer: That’s right. Good memory young lady. You’ll be an old farmer and shepherd before you know it. Metaphorically girl.
Epilogue:
(Sarah has taken deep root. Oh man, the number of people in this country that think they are this ‘self-made’ stupidity America tells them they are. Rubbing people the wrong way causes ‘abrasions’. ‘Some abrasions heal and some of them the people on the receiving end of them, keep scratching them so they won’t heal’. Understand?
Mother Sayer is glad that Sarah knows that when you select a ‘vine’ you must be delicate with it. You can’t damage a ‘seed’ before you place it in the metaphorical ‘ground’ could you? Mother Sayer knows the old saying about ‘first impressions’ is true. It’s hard to forget the first time you meet somebody and they treat you like shit. It takes a unique person to forget that that’s what you thought about them and you didn’t even know them.
Sarah has done well to believe in her teachings and trainings. Mother Sayer hopes that Sarah respects that awesome ‘power’ that the people that possess a desire to find that space to fulfill something in them that’s good I hope. That space where they will be able to pour that power right then into their creativity. Mother Sayer says you take me to a company where the people that work there are smiling before you greet them. She’ll show you a company that is going to be successful.
Sarah will fill her land if she allows her ‘vine’ room to grow.).
