Place the Abomination that Maketh Desolate

The SECOND Round:  Desolation comes in waves

As a percentage of household income healthcare is around 30%.  If you’re making $15 dollars an hour for 40 hours that’s $600 dollars a week before taxes.  That’s $31,200 a year gross pay.  Now 30% of $31,200 is $9360.

Are you following where this is headed?  Desolation begins at the foundational principles of life.  I’m going to expound, a little, on the pillars of Spirituality, wages, family, and community.  That’s not the complete list although desolation strikes everywhere all at once.

Now the average employers provides 8 sick days a year.  There are around 11 vacation days a year.  Now the total number of work days a year is about 260 to 262.  Imagine one long term illness and how quick the money runs out.  I was desolate for many years when I was young working minimum wage jobs with no skills, so I was like a hawk flying above my head helping me avoid any possible sickness or injury that would bring ruin to my life before it even started.

I’m sure there are millions of Americans still alive today because the Affordable Care Act was passed in the first term of President Obama.  Don’t act like you don’t know this because you do. 

Go back to those days of taking a ‘THIRD’, a ‘3^rd’ of your paycheck out for health insurance.  Do you really not see what President Donald J. Trump and his merry band of Republicans are doing to you?  A ‘tapestry of pillars’ that governs life itself is being cut down with ‘scissors’!  Not ripped apart with Republican hands anymore, but with fucking scissors!

Desolation is coming when families are sicker because breadwinners, well they do not work when they are struck by illness.  Companies suffer and die from a lack of strong competent dedicated healthy workers.  Without workers earning paychecks that mom and pop store will have a cascade of events stemming from a lack of paying customers.  Communities will start to be abandoned. 

How do you think those businesses got to be vacant and boarded up in the center of town?  Talk about a hit to the supply chain then.  Desolation happens when orders dry up literally.  Do you hear me now!

A healthy workforce is vital to the ‘STATE’!  Why can’t the Republican Party get that?

This biweekly newsletter will seek to explain the pain and suffering mainly people of color endure through no fault of their own.  The dehumanizing excuses our people always seem to elicit from people in power that make our Christian Brothers and Sisters accept their reasoning as if it was uttered by the Almighty.  Lastly what I see with my own eyes begs the question from my conscience.  “Are we loving or can we really love our neighbor as ourselves”.

Let me take stock of what we believe is left over for us to share?  First though, let me remind people of what has been taken from all of us and given to the rich and wealthy in America. 

Ready?

Billions of dollars taken from the National Institute of Health for cancer research that is the last hope parents have to save their dying babies.  Billions in television, airwaves, internet, social media, satellite communications and streaming platforms to continue to charge Americans more money, restrict free speech, suspend, fire or blackball anyone Donald J. Trump tells them too.

Billions in government tax money contracts given to Donald J. Trump’s friend and stripper of cancer funding research guy Elon Musk.  Donald J. Trump traveling around the world on the American taxpayers dime drumming up and being paid billions by foreign governments.  Donald J. Trump’s family making money hand over fist off their government connections.

Oh, I’ve saved the best one for last.  Give Billionaires and Millionaires over a Trillion dollars of taxpayers money for free!  Don’t say it didn’t come from you Americans!  Who do you think that Trillion dollar collection plate was passed around to?  Is it magic money?  Did it just drop out of thin air like ‘manna’ from Heaven into the Federal Government coffers to be doled out only to the wealthy?

No!  No!  No!  It is collected from American taxpayers!

So, when a few Democratic and Independent Senators in the Federal Government get wobbly knees and weak stomachs I want them to remember all that I said above!

Now I was born 10 years later in 1966 after the Montgomery, Alabama bus boycott ended in victory.  It lasted over a year.  Now let me tell you something.  I spent 2 tours of combat duty in Afghanistan.  That’s 2 periods of 12 months each.  My country, America, asked of me to serve in the Army and defend a set of ideals. 

What the fuck is the problem now!  Every worthy thing, cause, venture, duty, sacrifice, and hardship that is for the betterment of humankind is worth a little suffering.  So Donald J. Trump and Republicans that control the Federal House of Representatives, the Senate and the ‘elected’ members of the United States Supreme Court will run up the national debt by over 5 Trillion these next 4 years and these 4 or 5 Democratic Senators are squeamish now?

Tell us poor stupid Americans which part of the table should we wait at to best catch the most crumbs when they fall off the table.  If they ever fall off that is.  Probably a Republican or two will have to feel sorry for us and wipe some off our way.  Don’t hold your breath though.
